PROJECTS

Since its establishment in 2010, STAAGES has been dedicating its efforts into supporting music projects committed to advocate on behalf of human rights and human rights organisations. In 2012, STAAGES acted as executive producer to the project Toast to Freedom, a song reuniting nearly 50 of the most legendary musicians in a celebratory ode to Amnesty International for its 50th anniversary. Co-written by Carl Carlton and Larry Campbell, and mixed by Bob Clearmountain, the song has raised awareness to Amnesty across generations.
Following the success of Toast to Freedom, STAAGES has further engaged with Amnesty International and its highest award - The Ambassador of Conscience - co-producing three events, as well as the corresponding film and photo documentation: AoC 2009 awarded in 2012 to Aung San Suu Kyi in a concert in Dublin; AoC 2013 awarded to Malala Yousafzai and Harry Belafonte in a concert also in Dublin; and AoC 2015 awarded to Joan Baez and Ai Wei Wei in a concert this time in Berlin.
In 2016 STAAGES has produced the sensational album Heart of Soul of Schwerte based soul musician Theo: “a real surprise, a gemstone that falls unexpectedly into listeners’ hands.”
Last but not least, since 2014 STAAGES has been working tightly with veteran German guitarist Carl Carlton and his band Carl Carlton and the Songdogs. Various albums, singles, videos and tours have been released under the STAAGES label, notably Lights Out In Wonderland (2014), Songs & Stories: Woodstock & Wonderland (2014), Songs & Stories Pt. II: From Tobacco Road to Graceland (2017), Best of Carl Carlton and the Songdogs: Lifelong Guarantee (2019).
