Jason Lindner (born February 1, 1973, Brooklyn, New York) is an American pianist, keyboardist, synthesist, composer, and producer. Growing up in Brooklyn, his father played piano and sang, and Jason began picking out melodies by ear at age two. He later apprenticed with bebop master Barry Harris and harmonic innovator Chris Anderson — Herbie Hancock's own harmonic guru — before exploring Latin and African rhythms, funk, R&B, hip-hop, electronica, and rock.

Lindner emerged as a central figure in New York's downtown jazz scene through his celebrated Monday night residencies at Smalls Jazz Club, where his dynamic big band drew critical acclaim and packed audiences throughout the 1990s. His big band debut, Premonition, was released with the support of Chick Corea, who described Lindner as "a musical universe."

In early 2015, Lindner participated in the recording sessions for David Bowie's final studio album, Blackstar, contributing nine keyboards and a grand piano to the sessions produced by Tony Visconti. The album, released two days before Bowie's death in January 2016, brought Lindner's visionary keyboard work to a worldwide audience.

Beyond Blackstar, Lindner has collaborated extensively with Claudia Acuña, Avishai Cohen, Meshell Ndegeocello, Roy Haynes, and Donny McCaslin, while leading his own forward-thinking trio Now Vs. Now, whose albums include Earth Analog (2013) and The Buffering Cocoon (2018).
