Chronogram : Through the Lens of Elliott Landy: The Band, Dylan, and Woodstock

Photographer Elliott Landy publishes a new two-volume set of Band photos and a live slideshow at Upstate Films’ Orpheum Theater on November 20, revisiting the brief, blazing years that defined Americana.

In Elliott Landy’s studio, there was a box he’d labeled “seconds.” Inside were the photographs that didn’t make it into his first book on The Band. Glide Magazine : Mike Younger Completes Album with Levon Helm and Jim Dickinson 20 Years Later with “Burning the Bigtop Down” (ALBUM REVIEW)

Persistence pays off. Singer-songwriter Mike Younger began this project now titled, Burning the Bigtop Down, in January of 2001, over 20 years ago. The original tracks, the same nine Younger originals represented herein, were recorded alongside the departed icons Levon Helm and Jim Dickinson.
